The more oxidised a copper golem is they should become slower and more rustic but more experienced because of it and be able to pick up more items at once but at the cost of speed. This would be interesting for the time mechanic and would be good for players across the spectrum both normal and intense. It would make the player think what would be better based off their size storage room, or the slower golems could fit into an old and run down slow town so there's a thematic aspect. I think it could just make the golems a lot more interesting. The speed would also be able to be changed as a command variable and would easily be able to be implemented in game as a speed percentage that reduces or increases based off the current stage. This would mean fully oxidised ones would have a small window between moving and freezing fully now.
My suggestion is:
Unoxidised: Be very swift and nimble at 1.25x the current speed. Carries the normal 16 items at once or one non stackable item
Exposed: Still moves well but clear that time has effected it slightly moving at 1x the current speed. Carries 32 items at once now and still only one stackable item
Weathered: Clearly getting older now, moving at 0.75x the current speed. Age comes with experience though making them able to carry 48 items at a time but still only one stackable item
Oxidised: Very slow and stiff now, moving at 0.5x the current speed. After all this time he can carry 64 items at once and two non stackable items in each hand
