The spear needs to be heavily nerfed

The spear was just introduced into Minecraft, and it has effectively RUINED all SMP/Anarchy servers. There are so many aspects of it that are just ridiculous! In survival mode, players grind for days to get elite gear. This elite gear is used for combat, which used to require skill. Players could use rare weapons like the mace to defeat others. Now, a SHOVEL can be used to destroy full protection IV netherite players in one hit. Disgusting. Nerf the diagonal shovel!

    Yeah it kinda sucks with a horse but is too op with an elytra. It should have higher damage at horse speed but lower extra damage the faster you go. Basically nerf the spear at really high velocities. You can just almost spam it constantly at elytra speed with no timing and little aim and still kill a full netherite protection IV player in like 2 or 3 hits
