Pigeons to Minecraft?

The only flying mob we can tame is a parrot so I thought that we could add pigeons to Minecraft and we can use a book and quill and right click on them and then we can tell them in chat to send a message to someone and you can home them and they could help you around by bringing you stuff the more you spend time with it it will bond with you and will want to keep coming back to you and make sure you feed it
