The Bookseller is similar to the Wandering Trader in that he randomly shows up and offers items. In this case the Bookseller sells items relating to writing: feathers, ink sacs, paper, and leather. However, what he's really looking for are Written Books with a type of story in them. Now here's where this idea gets tricky- the Bookseller will pay emeralds for a specific topic in mind, which would require a set of certain words, like three words displayed in his trade window, that are to be used in a short story written by the player. It would have to be a coherent story; not just the three words and a bunch of gibberish.
I suggest this because I think it would give a real use for the Book and Quill item, as well as a means to strengthen player's spelling and writing skills. Plus it can be fun for creativity.
AND as an added bonus, any Written book you sell will automatically create a copy that you can keep for yourself!
I'd imagine the Bookseller would wear a dark gray robe, similar to the Wandering Trader, but with ink stains on it, and some feathers stuck into his pockets.
