Despite using a crossbow, their range is only about 8 blocks!
this range is really short and makes the pillagers even unable to shoot from the top of their outposts which should be the whole point of having such a tower in the first place.
also piglins and skeletons are able to shoot from a 15 block range so it would only make sense for pillagers to do the same or even have more range.
