When you are making your redstone suggestions, please note that Java and Bedrock will not have the exact same the same redstone systems - this would require redoing redstone system completely on one platform or the other. The two systems are functionally different and are going to stay that way. Please be sure to tag your suggestions with (Java) or (Bedrock).

Redstone Button

This is a very simple suggestion. It is simply a button that is made out of redstone. Unlike other buttons, however, this button glows when it is next to a power source. This occurs whether the button itself is the power source (when it is pushed) or when it is connected to a power source, such as a powered lever. This would give it the unique ability to detect when something is being powered.

    It could also be inverted, with the button always being lit by default and turning off when pressed, allowing you to use the buttons themselves to indicate whether the button does anything. If the button is lit, you know that it will do something when pressed. If the button is unlit, you know that it will do nothing when pressed.
