There's a button to import add-ons within Minecraft itself for Worlds, so why not for add-ons? Furthermore, Minecraft should automatically create a folder with the name of the imported add-on, there are times when it's necessary to open the Minecraft folder to import the game; not all addon creators compress the game into a folder, so they end up "loose" inside a .zip file. Furthermore, Minecraft has a major problem recognizing long directories; having the game folder located in AppData doesn't help with locating files in Windows, greatly hindering a proper installation. Add things like rainbows, aurora borealis, there might be a way to replace the texture of lightning.
