Realms are so enjoyable and for what you get for their price, are rather cheap. But thats just knocking out the nitty gritty to be honest. I play on realms with my friends over summer many times and the key problem we have is people hopping on at any time. Yes the whole point in realms is that anyone can be on it at anytime without the host having to be online. That is why i wish for the team at mojang and the minecraft team to somewhat incoporate a way for realms to have uptimes or realms being online can be enabled or disabled without having to actually log in to disable it. e.g The realm is online from 2:00pm GMT to 2:00am GMT. I don't like the fact that i log on at random time just to check the realm that people are already playing on the realm. If this can't be done at least add a server downtime setting, it is very annoying when a realm is solely for consistent group progress and that one person is ahead everyone. It kind of ruins the fun if i'm being honest. This will encourage for there to be significantly more anarchy servers which don't have to be monitored 24/7 . This is my idea and i understand this is unlikely to make it into the main game but if you do see this, thanks for acknowledging it!
