The strider is an amazing mob. It walks on lava…. and that’s it.
But what if it could do more? What if we could take our lava walking pal and turn them into something fantastic?
Gardening
The strider will not damage crops when it steps on them. When the strider steps on a fully grown crop, it will harvest the crop/seeds, and replant it. It could harvest wheat, beets, carrots, potatoes, or sweet berries. You wouldn't have to cut each plant and replant it yourself. All you would need to do is ride your strider through your garden and it would do all the work for you. But it will leave any extra seeds/crops/wheat on the ground. It will do the cutting and replanting. Allays could gather the crops, or you could gather it.
Eating Silverfish
Striders would attack silverfish because they think it is a mushroom. This would be useful because I hate silverfish. Silverfish will ignore it.
Strider Armor
You could make strider armor using armadillo scutes. This would allow them to survive in water/rain. It could walk on water.
Chest
You could equip a strider with a chest to help you with your adventures in the Nether. It will have 30 inventory slots.
Jumping
Similar to a horse, you could charge it to jump. It could jump very high, similar to being effected with jump_boost Lev.10. Also, striders will not take fall damage.
Lava
You could milk it with a bucket to get lava.
