Uses for bats, blood enhancements? Vampires?

If there are zombies and skeletons in Minecraft, why not vampires? We can give the bat a bit of utility, among other things, like tool upgrades and templates, but not just as a simple Design it as an improvement, a skill, among other things; imagine a blood sword, like in Adventure Time, that could be interesting.
