First, colored lighting (blue light from soul fire and sea lanterns, purple light from nether portals, sunsets making the ground more orange, ect) would 100% fit the vanilla style of gameplay and is something people have wanted for a while. Second, some mons and blocks have emissive textures only in VV, like sculk, drowned, the new parched mob, ect. It's such a huge disparity that shouldn't be there, VV is meant to enhance base game graphics not add new features. I really think both of these things should be added to the vanilla style of graphics, both because they would fit the style and so there's more things for VV to build off of instead of replace.
