I'm writing to suggest a extremely important rework about how the Bedrock Dedicated Server (BDS) or even Realms handles the "Packets" being received. Compared to Java Edition, Minecraft Bedrocks packet handling system is completely different and more subject to exploitation. With a simple rework, anyone can simply modify how these packets are sent from player to server for them to freeze/crash the server. Simply making BDS read packets more strictly can solve this issue. I recall this because during Mojang's Minecraft Live Event, I was entering the server and seeing people perform the same issue. I join, the server freezes. I heard after this occurred the servers packet receiving ended up being more strict. It would be nice to have these checks for BDS or even Realms. This has been a recurring issue for years, And me and my peers have fallen victim to bad actors exploiting packets.
In conclusion, all I ask is a change for how the packets received from BDS are handled differently and make sure they check if the packet is what its supposed to be. Because otherwise more and more of the player base, and server owners will have to stop using BDS cause of this same issue.
