The playerbase doesn’t find copper to be as useful as it could be and at the same time find that Minecraft is shifting away from the Mining theme of the game. Because Minecarts are so slow, they have very quickly gone out of style except for those who are desperate to save durability on their elytras. There is a unique solution to this. Copper blocks should be used in tandem with the existing rails system to make minecarts move faster.
Players want more uses for copper beyond just decorating. By placing a copper blocks underneath a rail, the minecarts maximum speed is increased, allowing the player to move just as fast as with the elytra, but not using the durability of any item. This would be a beneficial utility implementation for copper.
This will generate more use cases for minecart systems beyond just redstone and hoppers for item moving.
