Greetings,
I’m a player who values the original game. The only add-ons I use are the Minecraft Texture Pack and Clarity for enhanced visuals. I also grew up with LEGO and loved the LEGO Rock Raiders game from 1999.
It would be amazing if the vanilla game introduced mining tools and machines inspired by LEGO Rock Raiders—modular, redstone-powered, and survival-balanced:
Hand Tools (Area Mining):
- Laser Pickaxe: Mines 1×2×1 blocks with precision
- Power Drill: Mines 1×1×3 tunnel
- Shovel: Clears rubble or loose stone
- Hammer: Breaks reinforced blocks or walls
Machines (Coal/Redstone Powered):
- Small Digger: Clears 1×2×2 area forward
- Large Digger: Mines 1×3×3 vertical shaft
- Chrome Crusher: Breaks hard stone/ores in 3×3×1
- Tunnel Transport: Moves items and miners through cleared tunnels
Supporting Features:
- Loose Rock Blocks
- Energy Crystals (fuel for machines or beacons)
- Miner NPCs (pathfinding, mining, intelligent sorting)
- Rock Monster mobs (active; emerge from stone)
- Snail mobs (passive; drain energy from powered structures)
LEGO has long promoted Minecraft through physical sets. Mojang could return the favor by integrating Rock Raiders-style mechanics—mining, building, and resource management—into Minecraft’s core gameplay. It’s a natural fit that honors both legacies.
