The Nintendo Switch 2 has been around for more than a month ago. And there is still no “Switch 2 Edition” of Minecraft Bedrock. I know it isn’t easy to port a game to a newer system which there is almost no documentation of. Tough the game is playable trough the proprietary Nintendo Switch Compatibility layer that the Switch 2 offers. Its still not perfect. So i wanted to suggest some things for this upcoming upgrade.
The Switch 2 is 10 times more performant than the Switch 1 as Nintendo officially stated, so it definitely can handle Vibrant Visuals and can handle up to 32 chunks
Achievements should share Between Switch and Switch 2 editions
The upgrade pack should be free for Minecraft For Nintendo Switch users
The Switch 1 was underpowered since its release back in 2017, that made the game launched fine, but got unstable as updates arrived, with bugs, graphic issues, slow load times, and random logouts
-System integration
- Mouse Mode
The Joy-Con 2 have a Mouse sensor on their side, this could enable Mouse aim, giving more parity with the PC edition
- Gyro-Aim
Similar to Mouse mode this can enable precise aiming to the game without the use of Mouse control. This could also be implemented on Switch 1, PS4 and PS5 as both controllers for these platforms include a Gyroscope sensor
- GameChat
This feature exclusive for the Nintendo Switch 2 Systems allows users to connect and voice chat. The implementation on Minecraft could add a camera view right next to the username of a player.
