I get that the fog is meant to look good in caves, and it does. But no player in their right mind spends enough time underground to warrant making the ENTIRETY of the surface look dull, boring, and washed out. It's depressing and miserable to look at. Looking around doesn't give me a sense of awe anymore, I just think "Wow! This looks really depressing!" And then close the game. It completely kills the experience for me, and most other players IMO.
If you won't revert it, then at least do one of these things:
a) Give the player an option under Video Settings to set up their fog, allowing them to set it to pre-change or post-change levels.
b) Make it vary, so that fog appears with its new appearance when in a cave, and the old, vibrant appearance when on the surface.
I know Mojang doesn't like to listen to the community, so there's very little reason to say this, but I can't even stand playing any version since the fog changes.
