The Goblin: Fixing the Badlands with Automation
Problem: The Badlands biome is beautiful but useless—no unique mobs or structures. Meanwhile, Minecraft lacks simple early-game automation between manual labor and complex redstone.
Solution: The Goblin
· A neutral mob found in new Goblin Burrows throughout the Badlands
· Wild Behavior: Collects dropped items (from farms/mobs) and stores them in their burrow's special chest
· Tamed Behavior: Give it gold to tame! Assign it to any chest, and it automatically collects nearby drops—perfect for farms
· Balance: Limit of 5 per player. Burrows respawn Goblins, making them renewable
Why It Works:
· Makes Badlands worth visiting with unique loot & challenges
· Adds accessible automation that feels magical yet balanced
· Creates fun stories chasing thieves who become helpers
· Uses existing AI systems for easy implementation
This turns an empty biome into a vibrant destination while solving real gameplay needs.
