Hello,
I’ve been playing Minecraft for a long time and currently maintain a Realm with a world size of about 600 MB. While Realms are convenient and easy to use, I’ve noticed some limitations that make it difficult to manage and optimize gameplay — especially for long-term or technical players.
Here are a few things I think would make Realms much better:
-
More Control Over Server Settings
It would be great to have more advanced options, such as the ability to adjust tick distance, simulation distance, and other performance-related settings. This would help many farms, redstone systems, and other mechanics function properly without breaking. -
Clarity About What We’re Getting
It’s often unclear what specific resources or limits each Realm includes — like the server’s performance capacity, simulation limits, or player load capabilities. Having a clear breakdown would help players understand what to expect before subscribing. -
Different Packages and Pricing Options
Realms currently has a one-size-fits-all plan. Introducing different packages (for example: standard, performance, or advanced tiers) with varying prices and capabilities would give players more flexibility depending on their world size, playstyle, and needs.
I really enjoy using Realms for its simplicity and accessibility, but adding these options would make it much more powerful and suitable for dedicated worlds or community servers.
