✉️ Suggestion: Add an option to switch between Bedrock and Java physics
Hello Mojang team,
I’m a big fan of Minecraft and have been playing on PlayStation (Bedrock Edition) for a long time. I love the game, but I’ve noticed that the physics and redstone systems in Bedrock Edition work very differently from Java Edition on PC.
Many Bedrock players would really appreciate having the option to choose between Bedrock-style physics and Java-style physics.
For example, there could be a setting when creating a world — something like “Java Physics Mode” — that allows players to enjoy the same redstone mechanics, water flow, and block behavior as in Java Edition.
This would make it easier to follow tutorials, recreate complex builds, and make the two versions of Minecraft feel more connected.
We understand that Bedrock was designed for multiple platforms, but having this optional mode would give players more creativity and control without changing the base game for everyone.
Thank you so much for reading and for all the great work you do for the Minecraft community!
Sincerely,
A dedicated Bedrock
