Dear Minecraft Developers,
I hope you’re doing well! I’ve been enjoying Minecraft Bedrock Edition for a long time, and I really appreciate all the updates and new features you’ve added over the years.
I wanted to share a small suggestion and personal request. I’ve always admired the combat system in the Java Edition — the timing, weapon variety, and overall balance make battles feel more strategic and exciting. However, I also understand that Bedrock and Java have different systems and controls, especially for touch and console players.
Right now, the only way to try Java-style combat in Bedrock is through add-ons that use resource and behavior packs, but enabling them disables achievements. I really love playing with achievements on, so I avoid using those packs.
If possible, could you please consider adding an official experimental Java Combat Mode under the Experiments toggle? That way, we could test and enjoy new combat mechanics without needing external packs or losing achievements.
It would mean a lot to many of us players who want to experience the best of both editions while keeping our survival worlds fully compatible.
Thank you for all your hard work and dedication to making Minecraft better every year!
Sincerely,
Mark John Delos Santos
(A passionate Bedrock player)
