More efficency in copper golems

what if instead of sorting only 1 block the copper golem could sort a type of block? if i put a copper block in my chest, the copper golem will put not only copper blocks but also copper chains and all copper related stuff minus the copper ingots. or better yet, a type of programmable chest maybe with the use of skulk and copper we could make some sort of filter or filtered opper with the standard 5-6 slot of invetory + 5-6 slots of "exaple blocks"
