Domesticated phantoms

Tameable Phantoms – Loyal Companions of the Night Phantoms are often feared, but what if they could become loyal pets instead? By feeding them Phantom Membranes, players could slowly earn their trust. When tamed, blue particles would appear and the Phantom would stop attacking, peacefully flying around its owner. A tamed Phantom could serve as: Aerial Mount: Fly like a living Elytra at night. Night Protector: Dive to attack nearby hostile mobs. Wind Sense: Emit a soft glow when enemies or storms are close. Sentinel: Circle the base while the player sleeps. Appearance: glowing blue eyes, soft wind sounds, and luminous wing trails instead of screeches. Two sunlight options: 1. Resistant: Gains partial “life” energy through bonding, no longer burns in daylight. 2. Vulnerable: Needs shade or a crafted amulet to survive the sun, adding a care-based challenge. This would give the Phantom a second chance — turning a once-hated mob into a majestic, emotional companion. It expands nighttime gameplay, encourages exploration, and adds a new layer of friendship to Minecraft’s world.
