Right now in Minecraft: Java Edition, it’s difficult to play with friends unless you create a server or use external tools.
In Bedrock Edition, it’s much easier — you can add friends, see who’s online, and join their world instantly.
I think Java Edition should have a similar system:
A Friends List inside the game, where you can add and manage friends.
The ability to see which friends are online.
A Quick Join option, so you can instantly join your friend’s world if they allow it in their settings.
Optional privacy settings, so players can choose who can join them (friends only, invite only, or public).
This would make playing together much more fun and accessible, especially for people who just want to explore or build together without needing to set up a server every time.
It would bring the same convenience that Bedrock players already have, and make Java Edition even better for social and casual gameplay.
