Hello Minecraft Team π
Iβm a long-time Minecraft Bedrock player and Realm fan. Realms are one of the best and most creative ways to share worlds with friends β but theyβre currently limited to Marketplace add-ons only.
Many creators (like me) develop safe, high-quality custom add-ons outside the Marketplace β including new animations, creatures, systems, and roleplay mechanics. Allowing verified external add-ons (even with security checks or a small additional cost) would open an incredible amount of creative potential while still keeping Realms safe.
Hereβs the idea:
1. Introduce a system for verified external add-ons β where creators can submit and Mojang can approve safe packs.
2. Let Realm owners enable them through a βTrusted Add-Onsβ toggle.
3. Optionally, add a small monthly fee or βCreator Access Passβ for players who use custom content to support Mojang and the verification process.
This would give creators freedom to bring unique stories and worlds into Realms β like custom mobs, bosses, story-driven adventures, survival mechanics, or cosmetic systems β without leaving the secure environment of Realms.
As a Realm player and creator, Iβd love to see Realms evolve into a true sandbox for creativity.
Thanks for reading, and for keeping Minecraft growing for so many years π
