Stable link for latest server version

Hey, small server host with scripting experience here. Could you please create an endpoint that always has the latest minecraft version available? that way small servers like mine can update via script rather than an error-prone manual upgrade. tough rate limits to protect from stupid implementations wouldn't be a problem as people only need to use this once per season. Currently, this can sort of be done with a page crawler, which is fragile and unpleasant for users and a lot of unneeded traffic to the minecraft servers.
