With the 'Mounts of Mayhem' game drop coming soon and focusing on a new weapon and an aquatic mob(s), it's the perfect time to finally remodel a - quite frankly - subpar model of the Trident.
Ever since its addition; it has always looked out of place not just among weapons but among items in general, and on a more subjective - but an easily understandable - note; it also just looks really bad and underwhelming for such a special weapon, now it'll look even more out of place and underwhelming right next to Spears, which is another polearm weapon.
The same can be said about Loyalty enhancement's 'rope' VFX, it could be more mystical-- maybe a line of bubbles, instead of a weird tether that looks out of place as it creates smooth curves and circles.
But wouldn't this break an unspoken rule about an item's world model needing to be 3D/not using its item icon as a model, like Arrows or Wind Charges?
To that I'd say: Since they're willing to break the standards by making the Spear's animations uncannily fluid, out of any animation ever in this game; Tridents breaking an unspoken convention by making its world model use a longer version of its 2D icon is only fair.
Btw, Spear's animations still need to be simplified, until every animation is revamped; only then it should receive its unnecessarily fluid animations, isn't this why certain ideas are 'shelved'? So they can find the right time to add them (animations in this case)?
