棚を後ろにしか置けないのは、見た目から見たい無駄だと思います。グリッドの前に配置できれば、さまざまな表現を作成できると思います。ブロックを左右に配置するのは良いでしょうが、同じ列に立つ棚も好きです。また、石材でできた棚も見た目的にもいいと思います
