Rare Weather Event: Mayhem Mist (and Horseman Mob)

    I don't know about the Corruption bit, but I think a new "Skeleton Horseman" Event-type mob would be great. I'm thinking that a Zombie with full enchanted Iron Plate, enchanted Iron Spear, and Iron Horse Armour on, with, of course, a Shield and a Carved Punpkin head. What an utter menace that would be. Perhaps it could be a Pale Garden exclusive

    This rare weather event should also happen in survival mode on hard difficulty, in case hardcore is too hard for this event. However, a new achievement called Resisting the Mist is obtained when you survive the entire night outside without dying throughout the night in default survival, hard difficulty. (Defying the Mist is still reserved for hardcore mode.)

    I think "corruption" wouldnt work great for vanilla, description really reminds me thaumcraft (not bad thing necessarily, and yes, before it was added, sculk stuff also would feel same so ye..)
    mist being poisonous also would be unnecessarily punishing unless there would be way to counter such thing, maybe darkness itself could hurt you during such weather, if outside, so placing light sources could prevent it, or seeking shelter/cave
    netherite armor on mobs, especially ones found in overworld wouldnt likely happen, so far it is supposed to be most unobtainable armor in game, not even renewable by any means (other than exploits basically), I think diamond armor on them or just mob having beefed up stats would be challenging enough, only real benefit netherite here would have would be atmosphere, it being darker and all
    having some sinister mist and unique undead horseman spawning could be cool, maybe skeleton could still have bows, basically being harder variant of skeleton riders we already got, and zombies being melee ones with spears

    Maybe this event would be good for a halloween seasonal event, similar to how chests turn into presents at Xmas time.

    I like this idea, but I think it should occur in all the game modes, not just hardcore (although it could be more common in hardcore than in other game modes). It should also be summonable with an item, so that a player who wants to see if they can survive the mist can choose to make it spawn if they find the item in a chest.

    Hm. Personally I LOVE this but I'm not entirely sure this fits in the base game? However if it's localized to a biome (Pale Garden or Deep Dark) or a specific mechanic (Skulk Catalysts), then it fits the base game for every player. 

    I propose a sub-biome like the Pale Garden but for the Plains. This is as you described but more localized. Killing the Headless Horseman expands the biome by 10-20 blocks in a random direction.
