Spear being crafted with Pointed Dripstone and Upgraded.

After watching the latest Minecraft LIVE and the announcement for the Spear I had the thought that the charge attack reminded me of how Pointed Dripstone works but held by the player. Therefore my suggestion is to have the Stone Spear be crafted with two Stcks and a Pointed Dripstone and subsequent higher tiers of spears be built by upgrading the spear in the smithing table and/or with a crafting recipe. That would also explain how the more damaging Spears becomes heavier. Thanks for reading my suggestion and thanks for a great game.
