Other Turtle Armor Pieces

As we now the Nautilus will stop the oxygen level from depleting, thus making Turtle Shell Helmet less usefull. So why not add more Turtle Armor Pieces to complete the Full Armor and make it as good as having a Nautilus. Every piece of the Armor could increase the Water Breathing effect duration by a bit / Give Dark Vision when underwater / Increase mining speed while under water. That would also make getting Turtles more appealing and would give them a second life. And would fit into the updates part aquatic/ part combat based theme.

    I know there are some of these suggestions in other categories like block,tools and items tho i think it should also be here as it fits perfectly with the updates theme.

    This would be cool cuz the player could use the Nautilus as an early game thing for underwater but eventually they could get a full set of turtle armor and they could use that instead of nautilus being able bit easier to get around

    You could go overboard and instead make the armor set Ocean themed.

    • Turtle helmet
    • Nautilus Leggings
    • Living Coral Armor
    • Fish Boots??? Maybe Guardian would work better.

    I do like the logic of just using more turtle scutes, but I hope we get to brush them like the armadillo first. Otherwise, getting a full set could take a while. Apparently birds have scutes on their feet???

    I got a real weird idea. A big turtle shell that you can either equip as a chest piece OR use in your off hand as a shield.

    Or maybe it's just a shield but it stays on your back when your not blocking with it, giving you passive protection on top of your armor. Though it would be funny if this protection only applies to your back and nowhere else on your body.

    maybe rather having actual turtle shield as separated item, not sure how to differentiate if from iron shield, but it could differ in durability or having some water-based benefits, maybe regular shield cant block guardian lasers and turtle one, can, or something, or having synergy of some kind with trident
    turtle chest piece could provide back side protection, maybe having it like raised shield is (along with being disabled for time by axes or such means) while crouching, as to compensate for its potential OP status, it would slow down crouching significantly so you couldnt really "run" away from danger by crouching with this
    turtle pants and boots could provide swimming speed bonus, not sure what else could fit those

    Maybe to make it easier to get, you use the existing turtle shell helmet to upgrade leather armor on a smithing table requiring a new turtle upgrade smithing template?

    Maybe obtaining a full set would give you unlimited water breathing etc

    there's no need for this since you could just enchant your helmet with respiration and aqua affinity, and your boots with depth strider, I live on an island but I spend days in the water exploring underwater caves without water breathing since respiration III makes my air last so long all you have to do is mine out little air pockets to refill air every few minutes. but there is also water breathing potions that are not difficult to make at all
