Dedicated villager outposts can be found in any area, but mostly in mountains. They have a villager's lodge, several forges with various workbenches, and villagers who trade minerals, such as 1 diamond for 30 emeralds, at a high price. These will have chests in one of the houses located near the mine. When a villager goes to the mine, he digs up a block. If it's mineral, he takes it and makes it available for sale. Otherwise, if it's stone or something else, he'll put it in the chest in his lodge or put it up for sale anyway. These follow a 3x3x3 tunnel pattern and will randomly turn or go downwards with each layer removed. It can also happen that one of them randomly digs up a block of a wall. If, while digging the tunnel, a mineral block is discovered on the wall, they won't take it. Furthermore, there will be a villager in charge who will place rails along the entire path and a random minecart at the side every so often, and another will place wooden supporting structures such as mineschafts and torches. If they find a cave and see monsters, they will pad the hole with pebbles, which they always have. They are also able to enter, exit, and use the minecarts.
