The Turtle Helmet has severly been underutilized by most people, because its high cost for little reward. As the player can only breath underwater for a small amount of time. With the addition of the nautilus pausing breath the turtle helmet needs improvements.
I propose a solution to balance the nautilus mount and turtle helmet:
~I believe the nautilus should pause the players breath only within 8 blocks of the side of bubble columns. This gives the feature more credibility and explains how nautilus pause player breathing, while making bubble colomns more intigrated overall (Which already naturally generate in aquaffers therefore appearing in oceans from the odd terrain generation).
Magma could generate in smooth basalt volcanic vents found in deep oceans, to make the bubble colomn generation more often in a natural way.
~The Turtle Shell could give players the abilith to replenish breath for up to 5 minutes by charging up the oxygen when the player is in air, bubble colomns, of the effects of a conduit.
The Turtle Shell should also absorb damage from tridents, guardians, and reduces pufferfish poison duration. Protection will cause the absorption of all aquatic damage to be amplified more than any other damage type.
I believe these changes would benefit both the nautilus being integrated and the Turtle Helmet more useful overall.
