This post is ignoring two important things: First, Mojang rarely directly says "we took this idea from the community", the usually just hint at it. Second, an end update is not all the community has been requesting in Minecraft for years now. In fact, earlier today Mojang just announced that they're adding new things underwater, something that has been requested for a long time.

Yup, but what can they do, right? Minecraft is only the most sold/profitable game ever made, and Mojang is just a tiny $4 billion-worth company receiving funds from Microsoft, a trillion-dollar juggernaut; their 1,351 employees clearly don't have the resources to put out more than a mob and an item per update.

I completely agree, it's no longer about community, it's about an ad, it doesn't even matter what they announce. I mean they' could announce a copper age drop and make it exciting, the issue really is the show itself, the show isn't an event. It's not, it's no longer once per year, it's twice, it's no longer three hours it's twenty five minutes. It's gotten too short, I don't know why, maybe funds are low but if it's the fault of a recent decision undo it. Mojang you have the ability to fix things, you saved the game from dying after the slump of 1.9-1.12 and you can do it again, just please listen! We want an end update, we want longer shows, we want an experience, we want you to do more for the game we love, and we know you can, please.
