A common annoyance for a lot of Minecraft players with enchanted gear is the fact that some tools are simply too quick in mining blocks, so much so, that when you only want to destroy a single block, most often than not you end up also breaking a second one, even when clicking and releasing very quickly. This is a very big drawback to an otherwise clear upgrade that I feel the Efficiency enchantment should be. In other words, having this enchantment shouldn't come at the price of sacrificing precision. Additionally, some players simply cannot tap quickly enough to just mine a single block, even if they try to do so.
That is why I have come up with an accessibility setting that would solve this annoyance, and due to how comparably niche the function is, I couldn't find a shorter, more descriptive name than "Refire Check Delay".
This feature would be an accessibility setting, available in the Options menu. With it enabled, the first "refire check" (a function that checks if the destroy button is being held down and break a block if it is possible) would pause for about four ticks (200 ms). This would cause a small delay after holding the mouse button down, similar to holding down a letter on the keyboard in a text editor. This delay would fix said issue with mining more blocks than you've wanted by accident. Every subsequent block after that will be mined at the same speed as usual. The 4 tick delay was chosen because it matches the speed of block placement when holding.
