I genuinely hope this was an April Fools thing. Surely they aren't THIS dumb...

Wait, so this ISN’T an out-of-season April Fools joke? That makes it even worse. Turning reliable mechanics into a gamble isn't 'working as intended,' it's just frustrating.

I do not make iron farms or use them, but I empathize with those who've put so much time & effort into them, hence I must ask you to revoke the change of making Iron Golem & Villager interactions completely random & make it so they are not so randomized.

I wish Mojang would consider technical consequences of these changes more often. These cases have become so common its insane.

This is basically taking a mechanic everyone loves then removing it because "We wanted to". Mojang fix your damn game.

While I can understand the frustration of people who spent a lot of time designing iron farms, I do understand why Mojang would want to make this change. Being able to get infinite iron ingots by killing golems is extremely overpowered, and restricting this ability is a well-needed balancing change. One of the biggest aspects of Minecraft is mining, and having a resource like iron that requires players to go out and routinely explore their world to obtain is important. If you want a way to get infinite renewable iron, it should be incredibly complex and time-consuming to justify the reward, otherwise things like iron veins become pointless(or just play in Creative mode). I agree, getting iron is tedious, and an endgame iron source would be nice, but I still think that Mojang made the correct decision here. Current iron farms were way too game-breaking. If we as players of the game get upset at Mojang every time they try to make the game slightly more difficult, then I worry that they may never release another substantial redstone overhaul update for fear of "upsetting the technical community". Every time Mojang has tried to improve redstone significantly with something like the Minecart or Redstone experiments, the changes have been shelved, so I think that in this case it's a good idea to let them make balancing changes to the game. If we never let Mojang make changes that encourage mining and exploration over automation, Minecraft will lose a core aspect of its identity.

Unfortunately all we can do is downgrade our worlds to 1.21.0 or older versions 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

Whoever said they arent this dumb... they are... no really...

Jappa literally said it works as intented that sulfer cubes despawn on peaceful despite being passive. The reason being is that they are classified as monsters...

.. well there are zombie and skeleton horses that dont despawn if you manage to get them, and also happy ghasts work.... soooooo why not sulfer cubes??

Iron farms are essential to my playthrough to make them more enjoyable, there is no reason to add randomness, because as OP said, in normal gameplay this bug/feature will not affect the player experience, but it heavily affects technical stuff like automatic iron farms, so this should really be rolled back.
