Request to Add Full Off-Hand Support in Minecraft: Bedrock / Pocket Edition
Hello Minecraft Team,
I am a long-time Minecraft Pocket Edition (Bedrock Edition) player and I absolutely love how the game has evolved over time. However, one major feature that is still missing compared to the Java Edition is full off-hand support.
Currently, in Bedrock/Pocket Edition, the off-hand slot is very limited. Players can only hold a few specific items (like maps or shields), which restricts gameplay variety. In Java Edition, the off-hand can be used for a wide range of items such as torches, food, arrows, blocks, and more. This makes exploration, building, and combat far more fluid and enjoyable.
Adding full off-hand functionality to Minecraft Pocket Edition would:
Greatly improve combat by letting us use shields, food, or secondary weapons while holding a primary tool.
Make building and mining smoother, as players could place blocks or torches without constantly switching items.
Create consistency across Minecraft editions so new players don’t get confused when switching from Java to Bedrock.
Please consider implementing this feature to bring Pocket Edition closer to the Java Edition experience. It would make gameplay more efficient, intuitive, and fun for millions of mobile and console players.
Thank you for reading and for continually improving Minecraft!
Sincerely,
A minecraft bedrock player
