I would like to request the addition of full JSON message support in Minecraft: Bedrock Edition, similar to what is already available in Java Edition.
Currently, JSON messages in Bedrock are very limited. It would greatly improve map-making, server development, and custom content if Bedrock could support advanced JSON features, including:
1. Children
Ability to nest multiple text components for structured and flexible messages.
2. Click Events
open_book (open written books)
open_url (directly open links)
open_file (open local files)
run_command (execute server/console commands)
suggest_command (pre-fill commands for players)
3. Hover Events
Actions with content and values (like showing text/tooltips, displaying items, entities, or NBT data when hovering).
These features would make Bedrock Edition much more powerful for:
Add-on creators
Server owners
Adventure creators
Player
It would also ensure parity between Java and Bedrock, giving all players and creators the same creative tools.
Why this is important:
Expands storytelling and roleplay features.
Helps server owners improve gameplay interaction.
Reduces the gap between Java and Bedrock.
Makes the game more fun and interactive.
I strongly believe this feature will make Bedrock Edition more creative, community-driven, and closer to the flexibility of Java Edition.
Thank you for considering this request!
