Hi Mojang team,
I’ve been playing Minecraft for a long time and truly appreciate the creative freedom the game offers. But one thing is really missing: simple, easy-to-use NPCs in the Java version.
Right now, it’s very complicated to add NPCs unless you use mods. Even then, mods often break, become outdated, or don’t work with new versions. It would be amazing if Minecraft had a built-in system that lets players:
-
Create NPCs with dialogue
-
Assign them basic tasks or simple interactions
-
Use them as quest givers, story characters, or town villagers
I understand that Minecraft gives players a lot of tools, but not everyone knows how to use command blocks or wants to install external mods.
Sometimes it feels like being stuck with a broken car and someone just hands you the parts and says: "Well, you have the internet — fix it yourself." 😅
I (and many others, I’m sure) would love to see more user-friendly features like this added directly into the game — especially for people creating adventure maps, custom worlds, or roleplay content.
Thanks for reading, and keep up the great work!
– A long-time fan
