Currently, the only way to delete an entity is using /kill, however this acts as though the entity died, meaning mobs drop their loot tables and fall over with the red tint, playing their death sound. It would be nice for plugins and map making if there was a way to just manually cause an entity to despawn as though it was unloaded, which is much better than needing to teleport it away before killing it.
I think a simple way to do this would be a /despawn command that uses the same parameters as /kill, though it kicks players as there is no way to "despawn" a player - however it should still have some function of removing a player, as there are many plugins that create NPCs using false players and the despawn needs to be able to remove them too.
