Minecraft: The Sands of Eternity
Stumble across hidden tombs in deserts when the sand gives way beneath your feet! Explore ancient chambers filled with traps, treasures, and towering statues of Ra.
Face the Mummy, a new hostile mob that drops as a placeable item, letting you display it in its sarcophagus upright or flat. Behind each mummy lies the Tablet of Ra—a glowing, wall- or floor-placeable block that reanimates the mummy and nearby inanimate objects at night.
Decode hieroglyphs with the Book of Hieroglyphs, translating symbols into modern letters and uncovering secret messages or puzzle hints. Tombs feature hieroglyphic sandstone walls (a retextured smooth sandstone) treasure rooms, and optional branching corridors for secret loot and traps.
Loot includes gold, emeralds, enchanted books, Pharaoh helmet, and ancient scrolls. Crafting the Tablet is possible but costly, requiring stacks of gold blocks, making exploring tombs the smarter choice.
(Addition: An empty tablet frame costs 9 gold blocks, and each of the 9 hieroglyph pieces costs an additional 9 gold blocks to complete the tablet.)
