The Happy Ghast is a great feature for players. We can go on scenic ride with our friends, we can realistically build sky bases in survival, and it allows us to look at our builds from elevated heights to make sure everything is just right. I don't think these things should change, but I do think that the Happy Ghast is a bit too easy to get for how good it is. I'ss possible to obtain a Dried Ghast on the first day, and have it fully hydrated by the second day. Day 2 is too early to have the ability to fly in my opinion, even if it is as slow as it is.
I suggest that the Dried Ghast is more difficult to get. What if instead, we can find a "Dried Husk" or something where we currently find the Dried Ghast, and then we can use the Dried Husk and Ghast Tears to bring the husk back to life, and craft the Dried Ghast? The Piglins could also trade the "Dried Husk" like they currently do with the Dried Ghast.
I think this would make the progression more balanced. Because as it is right now, if you are going through the game normally, the Happy Ghast becomes a part of progression at about late early-game. Pretty much as soon as you get to the Nether. If you are required to get a bunch of Ghast Tears first, it becomes something that you COULD get late early(ish)-game, but you would have to be trying to get it intentionally. Normally, you would likely end up with Elytra wings first, which I think that the ability to fly slowly and more precisely, should come after the ability to fly fast.
