i know that this topic is old, so i wanted to give Mojang an idea on how to implement it.
i wanted java combat to be implemented into bedrock minecraft.
i wanted it to be added because currently the combat on bedrock feels rather 'boring' and 'unrelaxing' especially in survival, boring because fighting something just require a repeated left click to attack and some player positioning, unrelaxing because fighting something in a large number often does damage to only one mob per hit thus making it unrelaxing having to spam attack to all of the mobs compared to having a sweep attack like i have on java.
> i wanted the java combat to be added as an optional feature, like a toggle switch when creating a world. this would be great for both players that wanted the feature and for those that don't, this will also be great for servers that has pvp and still want to keep the old combat.
while i do not know how hard it is to implement this feature, i'd wager it is not that hard considering there's already an addon that lets you have java combat on bedrock(e.g raiyon's java combat), but adding external addon into your world would also disable achievement so.. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. also, i think this would be a great opportunity for Mojang to 'test the water' for the updated combat in bedrock to may or may not permanently implement this feature.
