Recently I have been noticing a drop in interest for Minecraft by my peers. I am 18, and have been playing Minecraft periodically since I was 8, when i received the xbox 360. The game was an adventure, a challenge that made playtime engulfing. I would play for hours, building farms for automation, mining for hours to progress towards the End, and practicing my building in attempts to become a master builder. Now that I am an adult I don't have as much time for Minecraft, and usually only play when I have several hours available to kill. My suggestion is an Alloying/Forging mechanic. While my friends and I haven't been very interested in playing Minecraft much recently, we had one playthrough that was a lot of fun, one that we added a mod with more ores, tools, and forging. The copper age can be a beautiful transition to the bronze age, and forging. I can understand that the game is intended for people of all ages, and complex forging/alloying could be difficult for children, but the games "experimental features" tab is a perfect fix. The feature could be optional, simply removing or reconstructing current mechanics with a button in the world creation menu. The game is good how it is, but what would bring more interest for people my age and what Mojang has already pathed the way for is alloying. I know we could continue to use Mods, but that costs money, which many don't feel is worth it for a game we've purchased. I hope you can consider my suggestion,
