Shelf’s have two decorative sides. This leads the community to believe they are meant to be used robustly in building and as walls. Parity had been stated as a priority at times as well. To see the ability to put ladders on the shelves removed from the bedrock version is very disheartening and highlights the inability to put them on trapdoors again unlike Java edition. These are building mechanics that both versions should be able to use. The shelves are decorated and intended to be used as walls. We should be able to put ladders on them. Building a structure, only to discover decor is limited on what seems to be a technically appears to be an unnecessary frustration. I think it would be great if this is resolved before the update is finished and put out in full.
