Minecraft End Update – Full Design Report
The End Update reimagines the End as a cinematic, high-stakes world.
Dragon Fight: Three phases. Phase 1: Dragon immune until Core Crystals destroyed, guarded by Ender Golems and Endlings. Phase 2: Dark fog, debris, thunder, void bombs, Ender Beasts; two Guarding Dragons appear. After they fall, the Dragon revives, howls (-5 hearts). Phase 3: Dragon has triple health, spawns Ender Vexes, Ender Crocodiles (-2 hearts), stronger Endermen, thunder, fog. At 20 health, it lands to charge a 12s bomb; player must hit 3 times with Ender Sword (10-heart shot, 20s cooldown). Fail = End destroyed, items lost, fight resets. Success drops Dragon Egg; respawn with Soul Fire summons ultimate phase: triple-powered Dragon + 3 stronger guards.
End Islands & Civilisation: New biomes (plains, warped, purple forests, farms, volcanoes). Hostile plains mobs have buffs + negative effects. Expanded cities with AI NPCs: professions, pets, festivals, laws (crime triggers guards). Shops, trades, rats, insects. Elytra is in Ender Forts (10 total), guarded by 3 dragons + AI spiders + Fort King, with maze chambers, traps, hidden ores; stealing = civilisation hunts you.
Gameplay: The End becomes alive: combat, crafting, trading, festivals, laws, exploration, biomes, hostile zones. High risk, epic loot, reactive NPC world, and ultimate cinematic battles
