I would like to suggest a feature that allow players to release their tamed pets back into the wild. Currently, once a pet is tamed u can't set them free. There is no way to un-tame them at this moment so i would like to give you an idea: By using shears to cut open the collar of you pet. The reason behind this is when u have two pets of the same pet their child automatically is tamed if both of the parents are also tamed. Having this ability to free tamed pets would improve gameplay in the following ways:
-More control and flexibility: Players could choose which pets to keep and which to let go, instead of feeling feeling forced to keep or kill the animal.
-Avoid unnecessary overcrowding: In long term worlds, players may end up with to many animals or pets they don't actually need or want.
-Better roleplay and immersion: For players who enjoy storytelling or survival realism, the ability to release pets aligns with natural animal behavior and adds emotional depth to the game.
This feature could be implemented through an item like shears and a right click on the mouse. When used the animal would be able to return to its wild state and could potentially be tamed again later.
Thank you for considering this idea. I believe it would add a small but meaningful improvement to Minecraft's pets mechanics.
