Hi,
It just occurred to me that fish could eat dropped items. It can use same code as dolphins, they just attract to dropped items, except more aggressively and instead of playing they just eat/delete the item. It would only work for edible items of course.
Then you could feed the fish, and they would flock to surface and it would be novel and amusing.
