So I know Minecraft wants to preserve its vanilla feel, so I thought of ways we can get a big amount of game content that will let players get features but still not just feel like a mod First of all new crops of course: Corn, a 2 block high crop where you only need to break the top of it to harvest it, allowing you to not need to replant it. Rice: you need to place it in water but it grows very quickly l. Fruit trees: a handful of trees that sometimes spawn just one at a time in other biomes, you can see the fruit growing in the leaves and there's two ways to harvest them, breaking the leaves or shears There can and I think should be others but this is just a few ideas for crops Next, getting automated farms, players wouldn't build farms with all these new crops if they need to actually do all the work. In comes the wisp, made by placing a pumpkin on top of a stripped fungal log, a new wood type only found on mushroom Islands, which would help make them easy to get in large quantities when you have the tree, but still not be to OP. The wisps spawn with a fungal chest like the copper Golem, the harvest all the crops in a certain range and replant them, placing the crops in their chests. Their range is shown in game by having particles form at the base layer around all the crops that they cover, making them easy for most players to know how to use. Make the passive animals be useful, frogs drop frog legs, but can also be brushed to get slimeballs for example.
