The current customization options for touch controls can be improved to allow every touchscreen player to personalize their playing experience even more and thus improve their playing experience even more. I would like to present a small handful ideas that are simple but other players may find them very useful.
Instead of three control option "templates", remove this and simply have the player choose between D-pad/joystick, and tap-to-interact/cross-hair. Also, have the option to turn on/off the Attack and Interact buttons, and and option to combine both Attack/Interact into one button (which would be turned off by default).
When customizing controls, add four arrows that move a chosen button in a desired location: this especially helps players on small devices. Also, allow all buttons (including the potion effects, coordinates, pause, perspective, and chat buttons) to be movable and have their size/opacity changeable. When this is done, the game can remove the red region at the top of the screen so that buttons can be freely moved up there, too. This, again, especially helps players on small devices a lot.
Lastly, instead of one camera sensitivity, and an option where players can either keep the camera sensitivity, or they can choose to edit both horizontal and vertical sensitivity. This option can be applied to keyboard and controller as well.
I invite anyone to critique me or add suggestions to improve customizable controls. Thank you for your time!
