with copper golem making it trough with rework, rascal could get too
idea is neat, mob that playfully teases you and rewards you for playing hide and seek
I think it should work more/less as introduced in vote sketch, but with some more to it, it should spawn at some distance from player, making sounds as clue to pursue it, they could work simialrly to parrot, mimicking hostile mob sounds but not copying them exactly, or having own set of sounds, maybe some subtle laughter
when getting to it to it count as "finding it" it should give player some small price, some kind of stone blocks, to make it clear it should be found other time too, while third time player would get "main" price, enchanted books, ore blocks or rarer stone blocks or unique items, maybe stuff like petrified wood
additionally when found third time, offering some trades, looking for regular wood, sticks, planks and food, stuff not common underground, while offering more ores, stone blocks or unique items, not using emeralds as currency, rather trading directly, items for items, however emeralds could be also present as middle exchange currency
it should detect player as "finding it" when being about 5 blocks far and looking at it, similar detection as enderman has, just on shorter distance, then chugging down invisibility potion and despawning, except each third time when it would stay for some time and offer trades, despawning after some time similarly to wandering trader
only spawning deep underground
